Abstract

ABSTRAK Permasalahan lalu lintas sering terjadi di kota-kota besar, salah satunya di Simpang Sawangan Permai, Kecamatan Sawangan, Kota Depok yang memiliki tingkat kepadatan cukup tinggi. Meningkatnya jumlah penduduk sejalan dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan transportasi, sehingga menimbulkan ketidakseimbangan antara jumlah kendaraan dengan kapasitas jalan yang tersedia dan berujung pada kemacetan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi simpang dan menilai kinerja simpang serta faktor penyebab kemacetan. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi langsung melalui traffic counting. Metode analisis  yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, meliputi analisis volume lalu lintas, kapasitas simpang serta kinerja simpang menggunakan acuan PKJI 2023, serta analisis deskriptif pengaruh penggunaan lahan terhadap transportasi berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas simpang sebenarnya sebesar 2.109 SMP/jam pada jam puncak pagi dengan qtotal 1953 SMP/jam. Nilai DJ sebesar 0,93 melebihi kriteria simpang >0,85 sehingga simpang dianggap tidak memadai. Nilai tundaan sebesar 16,44 SMP/detik menunjukkan rata-rata kendaraan mengalami keterlambatan. Peluang antrean berada pada rentang 34,48%–67,83%, yang mengindikasikan hampir dua pertiga kendaraan akan mengalami tingkat kerawanan antrean sedang hingga tinggi. Faktor hambatan samping dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas komersial seperti perdagangan, parkir kendaraan, serta pergerakan pejalan kaki di sekitar simpang.   Kata Kunci: kemacetan, kinerja simpang, simpang   ABSTRACT Traffic problems often occur in major cities, one of which is at the Sawangan Permai Intersection, Sawangan District, Depok City, which has a relatively high level of density. The increase in population is in line with the increasing need for transportation, resulting in an imbalance between the number of vehicles and the available road capacity, which leads to congestion. This study aims to determine the condition of the intersection and assess the intersection performance as well as the factors causing congestion. The data collection method used was direct observation through traffic counting. The analytical method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, including analysis of traffic volume, intersection capacity, and intersection performance using the PKJI 2023 as a reference, as well as descriptive analysis of the influence of land use on transportation based on previous studies.The results of the analysis show that the actual intersection capacity is 2.109 pcu/hour during the morning peak hour with a total flow (qtotal) of 1.953 pcu/hour. The degree of saturation (DS) value is 0,93, exceeding the intersection criteria of >0,85, so the intersection is considered inadequate. The delay value of 16,44 sec/pcu indicates that vehicles experience delays. The queue probability is in the range of 34,48%–67,83%, which indicates that nearly two-thirds of vehicles will experience a moderate to high level of queuing probability. Side friction factors are influenced by commercial activities such as trading, vehicle parking, and pedestrian movements around the intersection.   Keywords: Traffic Congestion, Intersection Performance, Intersection
