Abstract

Statistics learning requires contextual teaching materials that can help students represent data visually, symbolically, and verbally. However, statistics worksheets used in learning are often procedural and less connected to students’ cultural contexts. This study aims to determine the validity of Seren Taun ethnomathematics-based statistics worksheets designed to facilitate students’ mathematical representation skills. This research employed research and development (RD) using the ADDIE development model, limited to the analysis, design, and development stages. Preliminary data were collected through literature study and interviews with a mathematics teacher and grade XI students at SMAN 3 Cikarang Utara. Product validation was conducted by material experts, cultural experts, and media experts using validation questionnaires based on a four-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis. The results showed that the worksheet obtained validity scores of 96% from material experts, 86% from cultural experts, and 97% from media experts, with an average score of 93% in the very valid category. Therefore, the worksheet is feasible as a contextual learning material to facilitate students’ visual, symbolic, and verbal mathematical representation skills in statistics learning.
