Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the integration of deep learning and principal management in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) at the high school level. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were obtained through a study of various literature, policy documents, and relevant research findings on deep learning, principal leadership, and the Independent Curriculum. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through the processes of reduction, categorization, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that deep learning supports the creation of more meaningful, contextual, reflective, and student-centered PPKn learning. The success of its implementation is greatly influenced by the role of the principal as an instructional leader who is able to build a collaborative culture, facilitate teacher professional development, and create a conducive learning ecosystem. The synergy between deep learning and principal management contributes to strengthening students' civic competence, Pancasila character, and 21st-century skills. Therefore, the integration of the two is a crucial factor in optimizing the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in PPKn learning in high school.Keywords: In-depth Learning, Principal Management, Independent Curriculum, Civics, Citizenship Competence.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis integrasi pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) dan manajemen kepala sekolah dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) di tingkat SMA. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui studi berbagai literatur, dokumen kebijakan, serta hasil penelitian yang relevan mengenai pembelajaran mendalam, kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, dan Kurikulum Merdeka. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif melalui proses reduksi, kategorisasi, interpretasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran mendalam mendukung terciptanya pembelajaran PPKn yang lebih bermakna, kontekstual, reflektif, dan berpusat pada peserta didik. Keberhasilan implementasinya sangat dipengaruhi oleh peran kepala sekolah sebagai instructional leader yang mampu membangun budaya kolaboratif, memfasilitasi pengembangan profesional guru, serta menciptakan ekosistem pembelajaran yang kondusif. Sinergi antara pembelajaran mendalam dan manajemen kepala sekolah berkontribusi terhadap penguatan kompetensi kewarganegaraan, karakter Pancasila, serta keterampilan abad ke-21 peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, integrasi keduanya menjadi faktor penting dalam optimalisasi implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada pembelajaran PPKn di SMA.Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Mendalam, Manajemen Kepala Sekolah, Kurikulum Merdeka, Ppkn, Kompetensi Kewarganegaraan.
