This study aims to examine the role of Guidance and Counseling teachers in improving student discipline at SMAN 1 Koto Besar, Dharmasraya Regency, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors and the strategies employed by Guidance and Counseling teachers in this effort. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research informants consist of Guidance and Counseling teachers and students who experience disciplinary problems. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that Guidance and Counseling teachers play an important role in improving student discipline through various guidance and counseling services, such as individual counseling, group guidance, group counseling, and consultation. In addition, Guidance and Counseling teachers act as facilitators, motivators, educators, counselors, and mediators in fostering students’ disciplinary behavior.
