PERBEDAAN JENIS BAHAN TERHADAP HASIL MODEL COWL NECKLINE DENGAN TEKNIK FLAT PADA BLUS

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fabric selection is an important factor influencing the quality of garment construction, particularly in cowl neckline designs that require materials with excellent drapeability to produce smooth, even, proportional, and well-defined folds. This study aimed to describe the construction quality of flat-technique cowl necklines on blouses made from Maxmara satin and Roberto Cavalli satin and to analyze the differences between the two materials. The study employed an experimental method with a quantitative approach. The research objects were blouse cowl necklines produced using the two types of satin fabrics. Evaluation was conducted by 18 panelists consisting of 3 expert panelists and 15 trained panelists using a Likert-scale questionnaire based on four assessment aspects: fold flexibility, surface evenness, spacing between folds, and fold accuracy. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of percentages and inferential statistics through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an independent sample t-test. The results showed that Maxmara satin achieved an overall score of 88.1% (highly appropriate category), while Roberto Cavalli satin obtained 79.01% (appropriate category). The independent sample t-test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two fabric types. Therefore, Maxmara satin produced superior cowl neckline results compared with Roberto Cavalli satin and is recommended for blouse construction using the flat cowl neckline technique. ABSTRAK Pemilihan jenis bahan merupakan faktor penting yang menentukan kualitas hasil jadi busana, khususnya pada model cowl neckline yang membutuhkan kain dengan karakteristik daya jatuh (drapeability) yang baik agar menghasilkan gelombang yang luwes, rata, proporsional, dan tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan hasil jadi model cowl neckline dengan teknik flat pada blus menggunakan bahan satin maxmara dan satin roberto cavali serta menganalisis perbedaan hasil keduanya. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Objek penelitian berupa hasil jadi cowl neckline pada blus yang dibuat menggunakan kedua jenis bahan tersebut. Penilaian dilakukan oleh 18 panelis yang terdiri atas 3 panelis ahli dan 15 panelis terlatih menggunakan angket skala Likert berdasarkan aspek keluwesan gelombang, kerataan permukaan, jarak antar gelombang, dan ketepatan bentuk gelombang. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif berupa persentase serta statistik inferensial melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa satin maxmara memperoleh persentase penilaian sebesar 88,1% dengan kategori sangat sesuai, sedangkan satin roberto cavali memperoleh persentase sebesar 79,01% dengan kategori sesuai. Hasil uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 (<0,05), yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kedua jenis bahan. Dengan demikian, satin maxmara memberikan hasil cowl neckline yang lebih baik dibandingkan satin roberto cavali sehingga lebih direkomendasikan untuk pembuatan blus dengan model cowl neckline menggunakan teknik flat.
