<![CDATA[Students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education learning are still relatively low because the learning process tends to be teacher-centered, resulting in limited student participation. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in Pancasila Education at SD Negeri 141 Pekanbaru. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 24 students of Class IV A at SD Negeri 141 Pekanbaru. Data were collected through a critical thinking skills test and analyzed using the normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The results showed that the average pretest score of 56.67 increased to 79.75 in the posttest, indicating an improvement of 23.08%. The paired sample t-test revealed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. The N-Gain result was 0.53, which was categorized as moderate. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model had a positive and significant effect on the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in Pancasila Education at SD Negeri 141 Pekanbaru.]]>
