Background: Anemia among adolescent girls remains a health issue that can affect their health, ability to concentrate in school, and productivity. Health education through animated videos and leaflets has been shown to increase knowledge about anemia prevention. However, research comparing the effectiveness of these two media in improving adolescent girls’ knowledge of anemia prevention remains limited. Objective: To compare effectiveness of health education using animated videos and leaflets on knowledge of anemia prevention among seventh-grade female students at SMPN 8 Cimahi. Method: This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental two-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 40 seventh-grade female students who met the inclusion criteria, agreed to participate, and completed the study. Respondents were allocated to an animated video group or a leaflet group. Knowledge was measured using a structured questionnaire before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using the paired-sample t-test and Independent-sample t-test. Results: The mean knowledge score for the animated video group increased from 51,75 to 85,00 (p=0,001), while that for the leaflet group increased from 52,75 to 73,75 (p=0,001). The between-group comparison showed p=0,001 (p <0,005), with the increase in knowledge in the animated video group being higher than that in the leaflet group. Conclusion: Health education through animated videos and leaflets is effective in increasing knowledge about anemia prevention, with animated videos proving more effective than leaflets. Schools are encouraged to collaborate with community health centers in implementing adolescent health programs, particularly those focused on anemia prevention.INTISARILatar belakang: Anemia pada remaja putri masih menjadi masalah kesehatan yang dapat berdampak terhadap kesehatan, konsentrasi belajar, dan produktivitas. Data dianalisis melalui paired sample t-test beserta independent sample t-test.
