Abstract

The rise of social media has given rise to the phenomenon of “fear of judgment”, the fear of negative evaluation that can trigger anxiety, low selfesteem, and hinder freedom of expression. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of “fear of judgment” on social media and the relevance of the concept of husnuzan in Islam as a means of addressing it. The study employed a literature review method by examining relevant journals, books, and scientific sources. The results show that the “fear of judgment” is influenced by social standards, negative comments, and the desire to gain validation from other users. The concept of husnuzan in Islam has proven relevant for reducing social anxiety, promoting inner peace, and fostering healthier digital interactions. Thus, the application of husnuzan has the potential to create a more positive social media environment that supports users’ mental health.
