<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the concept of rationalism in the educational thought of Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina, examine its implications for the development of Islamic educational theory and practice, and explore its relevance to contemporary Islamic education. The study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from primary and secondary sources, including books, scholarly articles, and academic works discussing Islamic philosophy and educational thought, particularly those related to Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina. Data were analyzed through content analysis involving data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that both Al-Farabi and Ibn Sina positioned reason as a primary instrument for acquiring knowledge while maintaining revelation as the ultimate source of truth. Al-Farabi emphasized the development of logical reasoning and the formation of an ideal society through education, whereas Ibn Sina focused more on learners’ psychological development, intellectual growth, and the application of instructional methods based on observation, discussion, and experimentation. The educational ideas of these two scholars significantly contribute to the development of an integrative Islamic education system through the synthesis of rationality, morality, and spirituality. Furthermore, their concepts remain highly relevant to contemporary Islamic education, particularly in addressing the dichotomy between religious and secular sciences, fostering critical thinking skills, and promoting a holistic and adaptive educational system capable of responding to modern challenges.]]>
