This study aims to describe language politeness in verbal interactions between students and teachers in the junior high school environment. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of teachers and students involved in classroom and school interactions. Data were collected through observation, recording, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that language politeness in teacher-student interactions was reflected through polite speech acts, respectful forms of address, appreciation of interlocutors, and adherence to politeness principles. However, several violations of language politeness were also found, particularly in informal interactions among students. Factors influencing language politeness included age differences, social relationships, communication situations, and students' language habits. The findings indicate that language politeness plays an important role in creating effective communication and a positive learning environment in schools.
