Culinary events have become one of the attractions promoted through social media to encourage tourist visits and support regional tourism development. Food influencers are increasingly used to introduce culinary destinations and encourage people to visit them. This study examines how three dimensions of influencer credibility homophily, physical attractiveness, and social attractiveness, influence tourists' motivation, attitudes, and visit intentions to culinary events. A survey was conducted among 164 respondents who had attended culinary events in Lampung Province, Indonesia. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used for data analysis. The results indicate that homophily and physical attractiveness significantly increase tourists' motivation, thereby strengthening positive attitudes and visit intention. In contrast, social attractiveness does not significantly influence motivation. The results also indicate that motivation and attitude mediate the effects of homophily and physical attractiveness on visit intention. These findings provide further support for the S-O-R model by showing that the dimensions of influencer credibility do not contribute equally to the development of visit intention in culinary tourism.
