This study aims to develop animation-based video learning media to improve listening skills in Arabic language learning among students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Islamiyah Tangerang. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method, which involved needs analysis, the design and production of instructional videos integrating audio and visual elements, and their implementation with the research subjects. The research instruments included a needs analysis questionnaire, expert validation questionnaires (content experts and media experts), and a student response questionnaire. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative analysis. The results indicate that the use of animation-based videos contributes to improving students’ comprehension of spoken texts, as well as increasing their engagement and motivation in learning Arabic. These findings demonstrate that animation-based video media are effective in enhancing listening skills. This study was limited to one class consisting of 26 seventh-grade students and to specific instructional materials, suggesting opportunities for future research to develop more diverse and comprehensive learning content.
