<![CDATA[Stunting is a multidimensional problem associated with nutrition, household food security, socioeconomic conditions, parenting practices, women’s knowledge, and family cultural practices. Although the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia has declined, its prevention still requires community-based approaches that consider local knowledge and cultural contexts. This study aims to explore the local wisdom of Mbeca Wombo as women’s social capital in supporting stunting prevention and family economic resilience. The study employs an exploratory qualitative approach to examine the meanings, practices, values, intergenerational transmission, social networks, food management, and economic strategies embedded in Mbeca Wombo. Informants are purposively selected and include women who understand and practice Mbeca Wombo, younger women, community leaders, cultural figures, and family members. Data are collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review, and analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Data credibility is established through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The novelty of this study lies in reconstructing Mbeca Wombo as women’s social capital that connects local knowledge, social networks, norms of sharing, food management, and family economic resilience with efforts to prevent stunting risks. The findings are expected to generate an empirical conceptual framework that can serve as a basis for developing women’s empowerment strategies and locally grounded approaches to stunting prevention and family resilience.]]>
