This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using field research conducted in RT 005/RW 003, Purwosari Subdistrict, Metro Utara District, Metro City. Research participants were selected purposively and included religious leaders, community elders, and residents actively involved in kenduri activities. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation and were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the kenduri tradition embodies four major dimensions of Islamic educational values: faith (aqidah), worship (ibadah), social values, and morality (akhlak). These values are reflected in collective prayers and dhikr, Yasin recitation and tahlil, mutual cooperation (gotong royong), as well as attitudes of mutual respect and social concern. Thus, the kenduri tradition functions not merely as a cultural practice but also as a relevant and sustainable medium for Islamic education rooted in local wisdom. It provides a culturally contextualized approach to transmitting Islamic values while simultaneously strengthening social cohesion and religious character within the community.
