<![CDATA[This study was motivated by low student participation in Arabic language lessons among seventh-grade students, limited communication skills, and a lack of active student engagement. The study aims to describe the implementation of the Group Investigation strategy in Arabic language instruction at MTs Pendidikan Islam Tapus, Lingga Bayu District, Mandailing Natal Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving an Arabic language teacher and seventh-grade students as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the Group Investigation strategy was implemented through stages comprising group formation, topic selection, information gathering, discussion, report preparation, and presentation. The application of this strategy enhanced student engagement—specifically in asking questions, discussing, collaborating, and presenting results—using the Arabic language. The teacher acted as a facilitator guiding the learning process. Challenges such as time constraints and disparities in student abilities arose but were overcome through task allocation and guidance. Thus, this strategy proved effective in fostering a learning environment that is more active, collaborative, and communicative. ]]>
