This study aims to analyze the levels of self-esteem and assertive communication, as well as the relationship between self-esteem and assertive communication, among 10th-grade students (santri) at the Darussunnah Parung Islamic Boarding School. The study employs a quantitative approach using a correlational method. The sample consists of 36 10th-grade students selected via a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires. Descriptive statistics were used to categorize self-esteem and assertive communication levels, while the relationship between the two variables was tested using Pearson Product-Moment correlation at a 5% significance level. The results indicate that 31 students (86.11%) fell into the moderate self-esteem category, 5 students (13.89%) into the high category, and none into the low category. Regarding assertive communication, 30 students (83.33%) were in the moderate category, 5 students (13.89%) in the high category, and 1 student (2.78%) in the low category. The correlation test yielded an r value of 0.545 with p < 0.001, indicating a positive and significant relationship. Thus, higher self-esteem is associated with higher assertive communication skills among the students.
