<![CDATA[This study aimed to determine the effect of the Ponjurang (Addition and Subtraction Tree) learning media on the numeracy skills of first-grade students at SDN 1 Marong in the 2025/2026 academic year. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 36 first-grade students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using observation and multiple-choice tests consisting of 10 items. The data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test with the assistance of JASP software. The results showed that students' numeracy skills improved after the implementation of the Ponjurang learning media. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test indicated a significance value of p < 0.05, indicating that there was a significant effect of the Ponjurang learning media on students' numeracy skills. The Ponjurang learning media helped students understand addition and subtraction concepts more concretely, increased their engagement during the learning process, and improved their numeracy skills. Therefore, the Ponjurang learning media can be used as an innovative learning medium to support mathematics learning, particularly in improving elementary school students' numeracy skills.]]>
