The problem in this study is motivated by low discipline among eighth-grade students, as reflected in lateness, lack of attention during lessons, and noncompliance with assignments. This condition indicates the need for systematic intervention to improve student discipline in formal education. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of reality counseling with modeling techniques in improving the discipline of eighth-grade students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design). The research subjects comprised an experimental group and a control group, selected based on specific criteria. Data were collected using a student discipline questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using statistical tests to assess differences before and after treatment. The study showed a significant increase in student discipline in the experimental group after treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that reality counseling with modeling techniques is effective in improving student discipline. The implications of this study suggest that this counseling approach can serve as an alternative intervention strategy for teachers or school counselors to improve student discipline.
