Communication is a fundamental element in the success of Islamic education because it influences the quality of interaction between educators and students. However, communication practices in educational settings often do not fully reflect Islamic moral values. This study aims to analyze the principles of communication ethics in Q.S. An-Nahl verse 125 and their relevance to teachers’ social competence in the modern educational context. This research employs a qualitative approach using library research and thematic interpretation (tafsir maudhu’i). Data were collected through the study of the Qur’an, classical and contemporary tafsir, books, and relevant scientific literature. Data were analyzed through content analysis by identifying, classifying, interpreting, and synthesizing the principles of communication contained in the verse. The findings show that Q.S. An-Nahl: 125 emphasizes three main principles: al-hikmah (wise communication), mau’izhah hasanah (good and persuasive advice), and mujadalah billati hiya ahsan (dialogue conducted in the best manner). These principles strengthen teachers’ social competence and provide a foundation for ethical, respectful, persuasive, and conducive communication in Islamic education.
