<![CDATA[This study aims to (1) determine principal leadership in elementary schools across Cluster 02, Kasihan, Bantul , (2) determine budget planning in elementary schools across Cluster 02, Kasihan, Bantul , and (3) determine the effect of principal leadership on budget planning in elementary schools across Cluster 02, Kasihan, Bantul. This research is a quantitative survey research. The population in this study was all teachers and principals in public elementary schools throughout Cluster 02, Kasihan, Bantul. The sampling technique used was total sampling method, obtaining as many as 66 respondents (n = 66). Data collection techniques used Likert-scale questionnaires. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression. The results of this research show that (1) based on descriptive analysis of the principal leadership variable, a mean value of 38.27 was obtained in the very good category; (2) based on descriptive analysis of the budget planning variable, a mean value of 39.21 was obtained in the very good category ; and (3) there is a significant positive influence of principal leadership on budget planning in elementary schools across Cluster 02, Kasihan, Bantul with a tcount value of 5.807 > ttable 1.66901 and a significance value of (0.000) < significance value (0.05). The feasibility of the regression model is further supported by the model feasibility test, which yielded an Fcount value of 33.725 > Ftable 3.99 with a significance value of (0.000) < (0.05). The coefficient of determination test shows an R Square value of 0.345, meaning that the principal leadership variable contributes a 34.5% influence on budget planning, while the remaining 65.5% is influenced by external factors not examined in this study.
