<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the rising popularity of Podcasts as a medium of communication that showcases diverse speaking styles of public figures, including in the program “Login – Jafar – Onad” on Deddy Corbuzier’s YouTube channel. In this context, the study of conversational implicature becomes essential to understand the implied meanings within interactions that appear casual yet carry strong social and religious messages. This study aims to describe the forms, meanings, and functions of conversational implicatures found in the dialogues between the hosts and guests on the Podcast. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a pragmatic approach. A total of 26 utterances were analyzed and classified based on the speech act theory of Searle and Yule. The findings reveal four main functions of conversational implicature: representative (7 data) to convey assertions and descriptions; commissive (6 data) showing refusals; directive (3 data) consisting of commands; and expressive (10 data) expressing sarcasm, and praise.]]>
