This study examines the commitment of the regional government through the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs in Karawang in strengthening Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). The research employs a qualitative case study approach to explore how local government policies and programs support the development of UMKM. Findings indicate that despite significant efforts, such as budget allocation for business assistance, marketing programs, and entrepreneurship training, challenges remain in ensuring sustained market access and managerial capacity for SMEs. The research also provides a framework for improving the effectiveness of these programs and offers recommendations for enhancing the local economy through strategic commitment.
