<![CDATA[Indonesia is highly vulnerable to earthquake disasters due to its geographical location along the Pacific Ring of Fire and the convergence of major tectonic plates. One of the regions affected by seismic activity is Cianjur Regency, West Java, which experienced a destructive magnitude 5.6 earthquake in 2022 associated with the Cugenang Fault. The disaster caused significant casualties, infrastructure damage, and displacement, highlighting the importance of improving community preparedness and disaster awareness, particularly in earthquake-prone areas. This community service activity aimed to enhance public understanding of earthquake hazards, disaster preparedness, and emergency response procedures in Pacet District, Cianjur Regency, one of the areas located near the Cugenang Fault zone. The activity involved village officials, members of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Disaster Preparedness Youth (Tagana), and community representatives. The implementation was carried out through several stages, including preparation, educational socialization, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and evaluation. The educational materials covered earthquake characteristics and causes, the impacts of the 2022 Cianjur earthquake, disaster preparedness measures, emergency go-bag preparation, evacuation routes and assembly points, and actions to take before, during, and after an earthquake. The results showed that participants demonstrated high enthusiasm and active participation throughout the activity. Participants gained a better understanding of disaster preparedness and mitigation efforts, particularly regarding appropriate emergency response actions during earthquakes.]]>
