The type of research used in this research is the type of Classroom Action Research which we know as PTK (Classroom Action Research), with research subjects being fourth grade students at SD GMIH L.O.C, with a total of 18 students, consisting of 10 female students and 8 male students. -man. The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes through the Explicit Instruction learning method in science learning in class IV of GMIH L.O.C Elementary School, Morotai Island Regency. This research consists of two cycles and in general, there are four stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results of research in cycle I showed that 4 students (22%) completed the total (18 students), while 14 students (78%) were unsuccessful. In cycle II there was a very significant increase in learning outcomes by (66%), so that the students who succeeded in cycle II were 16 students (88%) and those who were not successful were 2 students (11%). So that the learning process using the Explicit Instruction learning method can improve science learning outcomes on the subject of Fiber Roots and Taproots.
