This paper examines the controversy surrounding the abrogation of verses in Surah al-Baqarah from the perspective of Ibn Salamah. The study focuses on the various disputes and differences of opinion among scholars concerning the abrogation of verses in Surah al-Baqarah. To explore this controversy, the author analyzes Ibn Salamah’s views through a literature-based study of relevant sources related to the topic. The findings indicate that there are significant differences of opinion among scholars regarding which verses in Surah al-Baqarah are considered abrogated (mansûkh) and which verses are regarded as abrogating (nâsikh). These differences demonstrate the complexity of the concept of naskh in Qur’anic studies and reflect the diversity of scholarly approaches to interpreting the relationship between Qur’anic verses.
