<![CDATA[Objective: This study aims to describe the conditions, empirically analyze the effect of teacher problems on work overload, and formulate strategic policy recommendations for educators at Elementary Schools in East Lampung Regency. Methods: The research employed a descriptive quantitative survey with a causal associative approach. A total of 96 teachers were involved as the sample, selected through the Multi-Stage Proportional Stratified Random Sampling technique. Data were collected using a validated Likert scale questionnaire and subsequently analyzed using simple linear regression assisted by JASP software. Results: The level of teacher problems and work overload were generally in the moderate category. Regression analysis found a positive and highly significant effect of teacher problems on work overload with p < 0.001 and a t-count of 8.835. Teacher problems contributed 45.4% to work exhaustion. Overlapping administrative roles, such as serving as a treasurer or school operator, were proven to directly trigger work overload. Novelty: This study provides a theoretical modification to the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Model within regional primary schools, revealing that the primary trigger of work overload has shifted from pedagogical interactions to purely bureaucratic pressures and reporting routines due to the absence of specialized administrative staff.]]>
