This study aims to determine the effect of coffee grounds compost on the growth of water spinach (Ipomoea reptans), evaluated through plant height, leaf number, fresh weight, dry weight, and changes in soil and compost pH. Four treatments were applied: no fertilizer (K0), NPK fertilizer (K1), 100% coffee grounds compost (K2), and a combination of coffee grounds compost + NPK (K3). The results showed that coffee grounds compost significantly affected plant height in the third and fourth weeks but did not significantly affect leaf number. Treatment K2 produced the highest plant height, fresh weight, and dry weight, indicating the effectiveness of coffee grounds compost in supplying nutrients. Soil pH increased from acidic to near neutral after four weeks of compost application, while compost pH rose during decomposition, indicating compost maturity. Chemical analysis revealed NPK contents of 1.20% nitrogen, 0.13% phosphorus, and 0.38% potassium. Overall, coffee grounds compost demonstrates strong potential as an environmentally friendly organic fertilizer capable of improving plant growth and soil quality.
