Air conditioning machines are generally used to provide a cooling effect. The cooling effect is intended to provide comfortable zone in a cooled room, so that a sense of comfort makes people feel at home in it. Most air conditioning machines operate thermodynamically using a vapor compression cycle, where heat is absorbed inside of the evaporator in the room, then this heat is discharged in an outdoor condenser. This process can take place because of the compressor's work and the pressure drop that occurs in the expansion valve or capillary pipe, so that the vapor compression cycle works perfectly. In air conditioning systems usually heat is wasted useless, the heat can be used to heat water with the addition of a dummy condenser. The addition of a dummy condenser in this study was conducted to see the effect of adding a dummy condenser to cooling load, compression power, temperature, and the Coefficient of Performance (COP). The method used in this study is the design and experimental methods. Based on the results of the test, during the 120 minute operation the hot water temperature achieved at no load conditions (0W), 1000W, 2000W and 3000W loads are 52.83oC, 56.58oC, 57.93oC and 64.73oC, respectively.
