Abstract

The need for asphalt and aggregates for the construction and maintenance of asphalt pavement is increasing every year, even though asphalt is always imported and the availability of aggregates is also decreasing. To overcome these problems, one of the efforts to overcome them is by utilizing waste products obtained from flexible pavement maintenance activities, namely paved recycled material Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of two rejuvenating ingredients, namely: termite and Asphalt pen 60/70 residues on the performance of hot paved mixtures using Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP). The methodology used was experimental in the laboratory, comparing the performance of asphalt mixtures using Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement plus rejuvenating and non- reinforcing use, and comparing the effects of two types of refractory to the performance of each hot asphalt mixture. The results of this study indicate that the use of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) in a mixture of non-rejuvenating hot asphalt stability values of 2357.905 kg, the test results on deformation and fatigue resistance is 5.033 mm. The Marshal Quotient value is 555,742 kg / mm, for the addition of 60/70 pen asphalt reinforcement by 1.0% stability value to 2644,959 kg and flow 6,067 mm, Marshall Quotient 442,411 kg / mm. For the addition of anti-termite residue material + 60/70 asphalt the best value obtained at the addition of 1.0 + 1.0 with stability value 1596.450 kg flow value 4,600 mm and Marshall Quotient value 346,661 kg / mm there is a decrease in stability but still meet the requirements of the Bina Marga specification in 2010.
