<![CDATA[Early childhood is in the golden age phase, which serves as the foundation for character development throughout life. Therefore, the role of early childhood education (ECE) teachers is strategic and irreplaceable by any media or technology. This article aims to conceptually examine the role of teachers in character building among young children at Holy Kids Kabile Early Childhood Education Center, while also identifying the challenges they face and the efforts that can be made to overcome them. This study employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach, using books, scientific journals, and relevant educational regulations as its primary sources. The findings indicate that teachers play significant roles as role models, facilitators, designers of habituation activities, and mediators between children and parents in instilling character values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and empathy. The challenges include limited time and teacher competencies, low parental involvement, the influence of gadgets and digital media, inadequate learning facilities, and uneven understanding of character education methods appropriate to children's developmental stages. Efforts to address these challenges include strengthening teachers' competencies, enhancing school-family partnerships, consistently implementing habituation and role-modeling methods, utilizing varied learning media, and creating a conducive school environment. This study recommends that Holy Kids Kabile Early Childhood Education Center develop a structured character education program involving all educational stakeholders. ]]>
