<![CDATA[The rapid development of digital technology has generated new legal issues that are not explicitly addressed in classical Islamic texts. This condition requires a methodological approach capable of bridging classical sources and contemporary realities. This study aims to analyze the construction of mafhum al muwafaqah within usul al-fiqh and examine its relevance in addressing digital legal problems. The research employs a normative legal approach with qualitative methods, drawing on classical usul al-fiqh works and contemporary literature. The analytical techniques include content analysis, usuliyyah analysis, and a deductive approach. The findings reveal that mafhum al muwafaqah operates through meaning extension based on textual indication, enabling it to provide legal justification for cases such as deepfake manipulation, digital fraud, and personal data violations. However, its application has methodological limitations, particularly regarding the strength of textual indication and potential overlap with qiyas. Therefore, integration with other approaches, including maqasid al shariah, is necessary to produce more comprehensive and contextually relevant legal rulings.
