Dinamika Populasi Kerang Masngur (Tellina remies) Pada Habitat Intertidal Berpasir Perairan Ohoidertawun, Maluku Tenggara

Abstract

ABSTRAKKerang masngur (Tellina remies) merupakan salah satu sumber daya bentik yang dimanfaatkan masyarakat pesisir Ohoidertawun sebagai sumber pangan dan mata pencaharian. Namun, informasi mengenai dinamika populasinya di perairan Maluku Tenggara masih sangat terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kohort, pertumbuhan, mortalitas, dan tingkat rekrutmen T. remies di habitat intertidal berpasir. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama Agustus–November melalui pengambilan sampel pada zona intertidal menggunakan metode transek dan kuadran berukuran 1 × 1 m dengan jumlah transek sebanyak 6 buah, jumlah kuadran 32 buah dan total sampel 600 individu. Analisis dinamika populasi dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak FISAT II yang meliputi pemisahan kohort (NORMSEP), model pertumbuhan Von Bertalanffy, analisis mortalitas, dan rekrutmen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi T. remies didominasi individu subdewasa hingga dewasa dengan laju pertumbuhan sedang. Nilai mortalitas penangkapan (F) lebih tinggi dibandingkan mortalitas alami (M) dengan nilai tingkat eksploitasi (E) menunjukan populasi ini telah mengalami eksploitasi berlebih (overexploited). Hasil penelitian menunjukan perlu adanya penerapan pengelolaan berbasis ekosistem misalnya penetapan ukuran tangkap minimum, pengaturan musim atau periode penutupan sementara serta perlindungan terhadap habitat intertidal berpasir yang menjadi lokasi penangkapan melalui pembatasan aktivitas yang merusak substrat.Kata kunci:  Tellina remies, dinamika populasi, kohort, mortalitas, rekrutmen, eksploitasiABSTRACTMasngur clams (Tellina remies) are one of the benthic resources utilized by the coastal communities of Ohoidertawun as a food source and livelihood. However, information on their population dynamics in the waters of Southeast Maluku is still very limited. This study aims to analyze the cohort, growth, mortality, and recruitment rate of T. remies in sandy intertidal habitats. The study was conducted from August to November through sampling in the intertidal zone using the transect and quadrant method measuring 1 × 1 m with a total of 6 transects, 32 quadrants and a total sample of 600 individuals. Population dynamics analysis was carried out using FISAT II software which includes cohort separation (NORMSEP), the Von Bertalanffy growth model, mortality analysis, and recruitment. The results showed that the T. remies population was dominated by subadult to adult individuals with a moderate growth rate. The fishing mortality value (F) was higher than the natural mortality (M) with the exploitation level value (E) indicating that this population has experienced overexploitation. The research results show the need for the implementation of ecosystem-based management, for example, determining minimum catch sizes, regulating seasons or temporary closure periods, and protecting sandy intertidal habitats that are fishing locations by limiting activities that damage the substrate.Keywords: Tellina remies, population dynamics, cohort, mortality, recruitment, exploitation
