This study aims to describe the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model in increasing students' learning activity and learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education at SMA Al-Hidayah Medan. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data are obtained through classroom observation, interviews, and documentation. The implementation of the Jigsaw model is carried out through the formation of home groups, division of learning materials, expert group discussions, return to home groups, explanation of materials, discussion, evaluation, and reflection. The focus of the study includes students' participation in asking questions, expressing opinions, discussing, explaining learning materials to peers, completing group tasks, and showing attention and enthusiasm during learning. The qualitative approach is used to describe the learning process and the responses of students and teachers to the use of the Jigsaw model. The study is expected to show that Jigsaw provides wider opportunities for students to participate actively, interact with peers, take responsibility for learning materials, and develop learning motivation. The findings are expected to provide practical input for PAI teachers in implementing student-centered learning.
