<![CDATA[In an effort to reduce dependence on synthetic plastics and curb environmental pollution, the use of organic waste as raw material for bioplastics has become an innovative solution. One potential alternative is the production of environmentally friendly biofilms from bagasse and banana peels, both of which contain cellulose and lignin as the main components for film formation. This study aims to create and test the characteristics of biofilms based on bagasse and banana peels, as well as to determine their level of biodegradability. The research method uses a descriptive experimental approach, with the stages of biofilm production involving mixing, heating, and drying. The tests include folding resistance, biodegradability, and organoleptic tests. The results showed that the biofilm had a folding resistance of 65 times, a biodegradability level of 90% from an initial weight of 11 grams to 1.1 grams, and organoleptic characteristics of a clear brownish color, a distinctive sugarcane aroma, and a flexible but slightly rough texture. Based on these results, the biofilm from sugarcane bagasse and banana leaves has proven potential as an environmentally friendly packaging material that is easily degradable and supports efforts to reduce plastic waste.]]>
