The ability to make career decisions is an important skill that students need to possess in order to plan their future appropriately. In the context of Islamic-based education, guidance and counseling services can integrate the values of the Qur’an as a foundation to assist students in determining their career choices. This study aims to examine the concept of Qur’an-based career counseling, the strategies used to improve students’ career decision-making skills, and the impact of implementing these strategies. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of a guidance and counseling teacher and six twelfth-grade students at MA Al-Wathan Pragaan Sumenep. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews and observations. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Qur’an-based career counseling is understood as a career guidance service that integrates the values of the Qur’an into the students’ career decision-making process. The strategies applied include activities such as tadabbur (reflection on Qur’anic verses), self-muhasabah (self-reflection), and the habituation of prayer and istikharah in determining career choices. The implementation of these strategies has a positive impact on students’ career decision-making skills, including increased confidence in choosing a career path, improved ability to recognize interests and potentials, the emergence of inner peace when facing future decisions, and increased awareness of considering spiritual values in choosing a career.
