STRATEGI PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DESA DALAM PENGEMBANGAN UMKM MELALUI PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN PRODUK VCO

The Community Service Program (KKN) plays a strategic role in empowering rural communities through the development of local potential. Tompoh Village, Dampal Utara District, Tolitoli Regency, Centrtal Sulawesi is an area with abundant coconut resources; aimed to provide education and new skills to cummunity in processing coconuts into virgin coconut oil (VCO) as a business opportunity with high economic value. The socialization was carried out on August 3, 2025, at the Tompoh Village Hall, followed by a two-day intentive training on VCO production. The methods included lectures, direct demonstrations, and interactive discussions. The results indicated an increase in the community's knowledge and skills in processing coconut into VCO products, along with a better understanding of marketing stategies in the digitalization era. This activity not only expanded community insight into coconut product deversification but also opened opportunities for defveloping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Tompoh Village.
