<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the optimization of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum at SDN 1 Rumbuk Timur. The study used a qualitative method with an interpretive approach, in which the researcher was directly involved in understanding the phenomenon studied and considering social and cultural factors that could influence the research results. Data were obtained through observation and analysis of the implementation of PAI learning in schools. The results showed that optimization of PAI learning was carried out through several strategies, namely providing a conceptual understanding of the Independent Curriculum to teachers through socialization and mentoring by school supervisors, applying a personal approach to understand students' learning needs, developing students' interests and talents through religious extracurricular activities such as tilawah, tahfiz, and tartil Al-Qur'an, and growing students' self-confidence through activities performing in front of the class and school. The implementation of these strategies had a positive impact on students' involvement, abilities, and character in PAI learning. Thus, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SDN 1 Rumbuk Timur supports the creation of more optimal Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, centered on students, and tailored to their needs and potential.]]>
