The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in early childhood education (ECE) requires educators to develop flexible and contextual learning plans that meet children’s needs. Learning communities provide a professional learning space for educators to understand the curriculum, collaborate, share good practices, and reflect on learning practices. This study aims to analyze the role of learning communities in supporting Merdeka Curriculum learning planning at Pembina Tanjung Batu State Kindergarten, Ogan Ilir Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design and a single case study. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with source and technique triangulation used to ensure data validity. The findings show that learning communities support planning through curriculum understanding, collaborative planning, sharing good practices, and reflection and evaluation. The resulting learning plans were collaborative, contextual, reflective, and adaptive to children’s needs. Implementation was supported by school leadership and active educator participation, but faced limitations in time, administrative workload, competency differences, training resources, technology, and documentation. Strengthening learning communities should therefore focus on the quality of collaboration and its connection to learning planning and practice.
