<![CDATA[Drug abuse is a serious problem among adolescents because the developmental characteristics of this period can increase vulnerability to curiosity, peer influence, stress, and inaccurate perceptions of risk. Schools therefore need preventive guidance that can reach students collectively and strengthen their understanding of the physical, psychological, social, and educational consequences of drug abuse. This study aimed to determine the implementation of classical guidance in improving Grade X students’ understanding of the impact of drugs at SMA Muhammadiyah Tual. The study employed an experimental approach with a one-group pre-test/post-test design. The population consisted of 139 Grade X students, while 30 students were involved as the research sample. The intervention was delivered through five classical-guidance sessions using lectures, brainstorming, question and answer, point games, simulation games, group discussion, and role play. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 21 valid and reliable items and analyzed using descriptive statistics and a paired samples t-test with SPSS. The reported results show that the percentage of achievement increased from 75.24% before treatment to 82.76% after treatment, an increase of 7.52 percentage points. The mean score increased from 52.67 to 57.93, with a mean difference of 5.267 and a reported significance value of 0.000. These findings indicate that classical guidance contributed to improving students’ knowledge of the impact of drugs.]]>
