<![CDATA[Many Christians, both adolescents and adults, continue to struggle with feelings of inferiority, worthlessness, and inadequacy, even after knowing Christ for many years. This struggle reflects a crisis of spiritual identity in which a person’s sense of worth is grounded more in failure, past wounds, and cultural pressure than in the new identity in Christ. This study aims to examine how the concept of identity in Christ can transform self-paradigms and break negative core beliefs that underlie inferiority complex, as well as to formulate its implications for Christian counseling practice. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, analyzing relevant literature in psychology, theology, and Christian counseling. The findings show that inferiority complex has a broad impact on mental health, social relationships, academic achievement, and work functioning, and in the Christian context is intensified by distorted understandings of grace, forgiveness, and the imago Dei. This study proposes an integrative theological counseling model consisting of three pillars: cognitive restructuring based on the Word of God, forgiveness therapy and inner healing, and spiritual formation and disciplines as means of identity renewal. The novelty of this research lies in the systematic integration of psychological concepts of self-esteem and inferiority with the doctrine of identity in Christ, translated into operational counseling steps. This model is expected to contribute to the development of Christian counseling practice that is more holistic, contextual, and Christ-centered in helping individuals move from inferiority complex toward a healthy self-identity before God.]]>
