Abstract

The purpose of this literature research is to find out the role of confession as a means of pastoral counseling for prisoners based on Psalm 51:1-21. Researchers used literature research along with historical critical studies on texts. Based on the results of the research, Psalm 51:1-21 is a form of self-expression for a person or even a group of people who are aware, admit, and regret their sins and in this case Psalm 51:1-21 can be a means of pastoral counseling in bringing prisoners to living in confession, awareness, and regret for sins that have been committed so that holistic healing slowly begins to be experienced both physically, mentally, socially, psychologically, and spiritually. And also based on the results of the discussion of this research there is a function of pastoral counseling including the function of reconciling, sustaining, strengthening and empowering.

Abstract

Trust issue is a situation where a person becomes a person who does not easily trust other people. Trust issues can cause things that can be detrimental to the person who experiences them in the future, such as causing disappointment and missing important moments in life. Trust issues mostly arise among young people who are already dating and have a negative impact on the survival of these young people both psychologically and socially. For this reason, the aim of this research is to describe the impact of trust issues experienced by young people and pastoral counseling efforts regarding trust issues among young people. The method used in this research is a descriptive research method, with data collection through observation and interviews with several young people in Bira Village. The results of this research show that the trust issues experienced by the subjects are fear of building new relationships, always having negative prejudices towards partners and also people around them, both friends and family, and some are afraid to get married. For this reason, pastoral counseling is a service effort that can help subjects experience positive changes and get out of their problems, and experience holistic healing.

Abstract

Divorce creates a dangerous situation in the life of a teenager. Nowadays, divorce is becoming more and more common. This then affects the self-acceptance of adolescents. Many churches today only care about adults who are considered to be actors in a divorce. The church has not provided pastoral assistance to youth as victims of divorce. Divorce is a wound that can be traumatic for teenagers. Adolescence is a period of transition to early adulthood, where the development period is the most difficult to pass. Adolescence is a time of forming a person's identity, the crisis experienced when his parents divorced will have an impact on his life in the future of adolescence. Pastoral assistance aims to assist, guide, and assist adolescents who are victims of divorce to obtain healing and recovery. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach.

Abstract

Fresh Graduate Syndrome is a term for young people who, when they graduate from college or education, experience stress problems with the uncertainty of the life they have to live. The life of having to choose what to do next, whether to work or not, and carrying out what things are the main elements in the problem of Fresh Graduate Syndrome. This research focuses on young people who have graduated from college and have to experience Fresh Graduate Syndrome. This research is qualitative with a descriptive method which describes the problems experienced by young people. Pastoral counseling services will be an effort to handle or assist the problems experienced by the youth.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a common phenomenon, namely the occurrence of toxic relationships in dating relationships. Toxic relationships that should be immediately repaired or ended, but in reality many persist and find it difficult to get out of these relationships, one of which happened to three Christian youths in Sangihe Islands Regency. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the reason they find it difficult to get out and therefore stay in a toxic relationship is because they are emotionally dependent, feel great love for their partner, hope that their partner will change, are easily persuaded by their partner, and imagine a relationship that has existed for a long time. By choosing to stay in this relationship, there are negative impacts experienced, namely affecting the young man's physical, psychological, spiritual health and social situation. Based on this problem, it is very important to carry out pastoral counseling as an effort to provide assistance to young people who have difficulty getting out of toxic relationships. This is important because young Christians need to continue to receive attention from the church, because they are the backbone of the church. So that the caring and caring attitude of the church can be realized through pastoral counseling to help them get through this period by providing understanding so that they can make the right decisions, experience recovery from all the wounds they have experienced, and experience peace.

Abstract

Divorce is something that is contrary to the teachings of the Bible, but in almost every church there are cases of divorce that occur. Divorce creates problems in the life of the congregation and if not handled well it will have negative impacts. The church needs to highlight the problem of divorce and find solutions to address existing problems, for example by providing pastoral counseling services to congregation members who have divorced. Women are still often considered as weak figures and are often victims in the household, there are many women who receive inappropriate treatment and become victims of violence. Pastoral counseling services can be used as a tool that can help churches provide assistance to congregations who are in trouble.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to realize the nature and responsibility and concern in understanding the existence of adolescents to instill good spiritual values for teenagers so that teenagers can also be an example for people without making age a measure. The research was conducted on teenagers in the GMIM Sion Malalayang congregation to find out how teenagers understand the exemplary life according to 1 Timothy 4: 12. The approach used in this research is to use a qualitative approach as well as by conducting interviews and observations. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be said that teenagers do not understand the exemplary life according to 1 Timothy 4:12 so that the principles of exemplary life in it cannot be applied properly by teenagers. therefore teenagers should understand as well as possible the context and application of exemplary life from 1 Timothy 4:12 and of course there needs to be support from the surrounding environment such as church and parents / adults

Abstract

The E'haka/E'ha tradition is a village rule in Talaud, North Sulawesi, dating back to 1935, to address coconut theft. For 3 months, people are prohibited from picking coconuts for commercial purposes, except for personal needs or special events. There are sanctions for violators, such as fines and public apology rituals. The implementation mechanism involves community leaders announcing the rules, a team of supervisors to monitor, and active participation from the community. Sanctions for violators include monetary fines, confession, and acts of atonement. In pastoral counseling, this tradition is used as an approach to help communities overcome conflict, restore relationships, and build solidarity. The functions of pastoral counseling include guiding in ethical decision-making, reconciliation, strengthening community solidarity, and spiritual growth. It helps maintain social harmony and prevent conflict within the community

jurnal ini membahas peran pastoral konseling dalam memfasilitasi komunikasi efektif dalam pelayanan jemaat. pastoral konseling merupakan sarana penting dalam membantu individu atau kelompok mengatasi permasalahan spiritual,emosional, dan sosial. komunikasi efektif dalam pastoral menjadi kunci utama dalam menciptakan hubungan saling percaya antara pendeta dan jemaat. berbagai teknik komunikasi seperti pendekatan kepada klien-sentris, penggunaan metode studi kasus, kerahasiaan, dan penggunaan media sosial menjadi elemen penting dalam proses konseling. tantangan yang dihadapi dalam menerapkan pastora konseling sebagai komunikasi efektif antara lain yaitu , perbedaan budaya stigma sosial, kualifikasi konselor, pandangan teologis, etika dan kerahasiaan, serta keterbatasan sumber daya dan waktu. untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, solusi yang diusulkan meliputi pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional bagi konselor, upaya mengurangi stigma sosial, penyeimbangan antara pendekatan teologis dan ilmiah, pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap etika konseling, manajemen waktu yang efektif, penyediaan fasilitas dan dukungan yang memadai, serta kolaborasi dengan layanan kesehatan mental. pendekatan holistik dan beragam dalam konseling juga ditekankan, termasuk dalam pekatihan konselor, membangun hubungan yang kuat dengan jemaat, penggunaan teknik komunikasi yang tepat, pemanfaatan teknologi, evaluasi dan umpan balik, serta dukungan. diharapkan bahwa implementasi solusi - solusi tersebut akan meningkatkan kualitas layanan konseling pastoral,memberikan manfaat yang lebih bagi jemaat, dan memperkuat hubungan antara pendeta dan jemaat dalam mendukung kesejahteraan emosional mereka.
