This study aims to describe the implementation of a contextual-based learning innovation for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMK PGRI 01 Sukorejo. It employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving PAI teachers, students, the school principal, and the vice-principal for curriculum affairs. Data validity was verified through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking, while data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the contextual-based PAI learning innovation was implemented by linking religious material to students' real-life experiences, school culture, and the demands of the workforce. This strategy fostered increased student participation and an understanding of Islamic values, while also cultivating attitudes of religiosity, discipline, honesty, and responsibility. Challenges encountered included varying levels of student engagement, time constraints, and limited instructional media. The study confirms that contextual PAI learning contributes to enhancing the quality of instruction, making it meaningful, applicable, and relevant to the character of vocational high school (SMK) students.
