Social-emotional development is an important aspect of early childhood education, particularly children's ability to recognize and express emotions. However, some children still experience difficulties in identifying feelings, explaining the causes of their emotions, and expressing them appropriately. This study aimed to describe the stimulation of emotional recognition and expression skills in children aged 5–6 years through the use of an educational play tool called the Feeling Story Box. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method involving 15 children in Group B of RA Al-Istiqomah, Majalaya District, Bandung Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the Feeling Story Box helped children recognize various basic emotions, express feelings based on personal experiences, and engage in more positive social interactions with teachers and peers. Therefore, the Feeling Story Box can serve as an alternative educational play medium to support children's social-emotional development in a meaningful and enjoyable learning environment.
