<![CDATA[This study aimed to determine the effect of papain powder supplementation in feed on the growth and survival of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The experiment was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments: control (0%), 1.75% papain, 2.00% papain, and 2.25% papain, each with three replications. Parameters observed included weight gain, absolute length growth, survival rate, feed conversion ratio, and water quality. The results showed that papain supplementation in feed had no significant effect on weight growth, length growth, or feed conversion according to ANOVA (P0.05). However, the survival rate in all treatments reached 100%, indicating that papain did not negatively affect the survival of Nile tilapia. Therefore, papain addition in low-protein feed did not enhance growth but maintained excellent survival of the fish.]]>
