The development of digital technology requires vocational high school (SMK) students to possess technical drawing skills aligned with the needs of the industrial sector. AutoCAD is one of the software applications widely used in engineering fields, helping produce technical drawings more accurately, efficiently, and systematically. This community service activity aimed to improve digital-based technical drawing skills through AutoCAD training on the creation of a two-dimensional (2D) motor gear component for students of SMK Dwiwarna 2 Medan. The method included material delivery, demonstration of basic AutoCAD commands, hands-on practice in creating a 2D motor gear drawing, and mentoring and evaluation of students' practical work. The training materials covered the use of the Circle, Line, Arc, Mirror, Fillet, Move, Trim, Polar Array, and Explode commands. The results indicate that practice-based training helped students understand the use of AutoCAD and improved their ability to produce technical drawings digitally. Students also gained practical experience in applying dimensional concepts, accuracy, and AutoCAD commands to produce a 2D motor gear drawing. AutoCAD training can therefore serve as an effective approach for strengthening digital-based technical drawing competencies and preparing vocational high school students to meet workplace and industry skill requirements.
