<![CDATA[This community service program aimed to improve the competence of students at SMKN 6 Kendari in understanding the basic principles of geological mapping, particularly geological data interpretation, processing, and presentation. The program was conducted through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages using lectures, interactive discussions, demonstrations, practical exercises, and mentoring. The training materials covered basic geological concepts, rock and mineral identification, geological map reading, satellite imagery interpretation, geomorphological and geological structure analysis, data processing, and presentation in the form of geological maps, cross-sections, and reports. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, and questionnaires. The results showed improved student understanding in interpreting geological data, identifying rock characteristics, reading geological maps, and presenting geological information systematically. Participants also demonstrated high enthusiasm and positive responses throughout the training. The program contributed to improving students’ technical skills and preparedness for further education and employment in the fields of geology and mining. Continued training, improved practical facilities, and sustainable collaboration between universities and vocational schools are recommended.]]>
