<![CDATA[This research is motivated by congestion on one of the roads, namely Jalan Menoreh Raya, Sampangan area, Semarang city, which is precisely at the intersection of Pasar Sampangan Semarang. At the Pasar Sampangan intersection, changes in traffic management arrangements have been made with the provision of road markings and zebra crossings, but it has not been maximized. Problems in 1) the level of traffic service at the Semarang Sampangan market intersection. This type of research is quantitative. Quantitative methods can be interpreted by collecting some data with primary data, namely direct field surveys and secondary data needed in this research. Based on the data analysis, the results of the level of traffic congestion at the market intersection are categorized as good, with a degree of saturation 0.6 this can be seen at the service level that shows service B with a delay value of 9.12 seconds/pcu (5.1 – 15 seconds/pcu) with good category. In this condition, it is unstable with traffic volume approaching the minimum speed and speed of 40 km/hour on inter-city roads and a minimum of 40 km/hour with a difference of 1-5 km/hour. Due to moderate traffic density caused by side barriers, illegal parking and drivers experience short duration traffic jams.
