<![CDATA[The role of parents in character education is an important aspect of developing students’ morality in social interactions. However, empirical studies specifically examining the effect of parental involvement in character education on students’ morality in social interactions at SDN 21 Pilubang, Agam Regency, remain limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of parental involvement in character education on students’ morality in social interactions. The study employed a quantitative approach with a survey design and involved 25 students as respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire and subsequently analyzed through prerequisite tests and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results showed that parental involvement in character education had a positive and significant effect on students’ morality in social interactions (t = 2.488 > 2.069; p = .021 < .05). The regression coefficient of .909 indicated a positive direction of effect, while the R² value of .212 indicated that parental involvement in character education explained 21.2% of the variation in students’ morality in social interactions. These findings provide empirical evidence for character education and family education research by emphasizing the importance of parental involvement in shaping children’s social behavior and moral character. The study concludes that strengthening synergy between parents and schools is necessary to support the continuous development of students’ character. Future research is recommended to involve a larger sample and examine other variables that may influence morality in social interactions.]]>
