Abstract

anosilica synthesis requires materials that contain a lot of silica compounds. Research shows that beach sand is the largest source of silica. Research on the synthesis of nanosilica from Takalar beach sand using the hydrothermal method has been carried out. There are several methods that can be used for the synthesis of nanosilica, including coprecipitation, sol gel and hydrothermal. The method with the easiest and the least costly is the hydrothermal method. The results showed that the nanosilica produced had a silica (SiO2) content of 59.82. 45.07 nm -48.68 nm
