Metacognition refers to the capacity to regulate one's own cognitive processes, encompassing skills such as remembering, comprehending, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating in relation to specific subjects. This study aimed to assess students' metacognitive abilities in their application, repetition, and explanation of scientific material. The research employed a quantitative approach, which is a systematic and scientific method used to investigate phenomena and their causal relationships. The study population comprised all students of SMP Bosowa School Makassar, while the sample consisted of 11 students from Class VII. Data was collected through a survey questionnaire. The findings indicate that the metacognitive abilities of Class VII students at SMP Bosowa School Makassar are good, suggesting that students have a solid grasp of scientific concepts and experience little difficulty in learning the subject.
